Infocomm Technology: Full Stack Software Developer

What is it?

The Professional Conversion programme (PCP) for Full Stack Software Developer is designed to equip career switchers who aspire to become Full Stack Software Developer with the necessary skills to enter the profession.

Administered by the Institute of Systems Science at National University of Singapore (NUS-ISS), the programme operates under the Place-and-Train mode in which the participating companies will employ the trainees before they commence the PCP training, which includes classroom and on-the-job training.

Who can apply?

General Eligibility Criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen (SC) or Permanent Resident (PR);
  • Minimum 21 years old;
  • Graduated or completed National Service, whichever is later, for at least two years; and
  • Not in a similar job function prior to joining the PCP.

Course-Specific Entry Criteria:

  • University Degree holder with at least two years of working experience and suitable professional background (e.g. IT, Engineering or Business);
  • Non-university graduate with at least five years of working experience and suitable professional background (e.g. IT, Engineering or Business); and
  • Enrolment for the PCP is subject to employer’s selection based on job requirements, and hiring process that may include screening tests and interviews.

Employers

  • Be registered or incorporated in Singapore;
  • Be committed to work with WSG and its appointed Programme Manager on the necessary administrative matters related to the PCP;
  • Offer employment directly related to the job which the PCP is for, with remuneration that is aligned with the market rate; and
  • Commit to the PCP training arrangements for the trainees.

Funding Support

Requirement

Course Fee Grant

of up to 70% of the course fee, capped at $11,900 (excluding GST).

 

Enhanced Course Fee Grant

of up to 90% of the course fee, capped at $15,300 (excluding GST).

 

Enhanced Course Fee Grant applies where the trainee is either a SC/PR sponsored by a SME1, or a SC aged 40 years old and above.

 

The trainee must meet the required attendance rate of 75% and complete the entire PCP duration.

Salary Subsidy

of up to 70% of monthly salary, capped at S$4,000 per trainee per month, for up to 6 months.

 

Enhanced Salary Subsidy

of up to 90% of monthly salary, capped at S$6,000 per trainee per month, for up to 6 months.

 

Enhanced Salary Subsidy applies to SCs, either aged 40 years old and above, or unemployed and has been actively seeking employment for 6 months or more.

 

 

The trainee must meet the required attendance rate of 75% and complete the entire PCP duration.
