What is it?

Jointly developed by Institute of Banking Finance (IBF) and Workforce Singapore (WSG), in consultation with Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), the Technology in Finance Immersion Programme (TFIP) aims to help individuals gain experience in new technology areas, such as Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Full Stack Development and Data Analytics, within the Financial Services sector.

For Cloud Computing, individuals will acquire the necessary skills through (a) structured training with industry-recognised training providers and (b) an attachment with a leading financial institution.


Who can apply?

Individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in Cloud Computing and who fulfil the following pre-requisites may apply:

  • A Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Graduated or completed National Service(where applicable) for at least 2 years
  • No prior work experience in Cloud Computing/Cloud Engineering
  • Qualification in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Individuals who possess basic knowledge of computer systems configuration and computer programming would be preferred

Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an assessment and interview as part of the selection process for the programme. Applications will close on 31 May 2019.

Participants of the Technology in Finance Immersion Programme (TFIP) are not employees of the companies and will not be covered by the Employment Act nor CPF Act; they will be provided with training and work attachment in advance of being offered a job.
