What is it?

The Professional Conversion Programme (PCP) for Process Construction and Maintenance (PCM) Professionals is a career conversion programme targeted at Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians (PMETs), including mid-career switchers, to undergo skills conversion and move into new occupations in the PCM sector that have good prospects and opportunities for progression.

Administered by the Association of Process Industry (ASPRI), the PCP operates under the Place-and-Train mode in which the participating companies will employ the trainees before commencing the PCP. The six-month PCP includes facilitated classroom training by ASPRI-Institute of Process Industry (ASPRI-IPI), and structured On-the-Job Training (OJT) by the employers.


Who can apply?

Candidates who are mid-career new hires must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident;
  • Minimum 21 years old;
  • Graduated or completed National Service, whichever is later, for at least 2 years;
  • No bond obligation with any organisation;
  • Must be newly hired PMETs, within the last three months, and nominated by an eligible company prior to enrolment into the PCP; and
  • PMETs from other industries or those taking on different job roles within PCM.
